I kinda feel bad

It's not something big but I have a performance in less dan two weeks and my dad is going to guide me on the guitar. So last week when we practiced, I played the guitar with one song I can play and I was thinking to play on the guitar on the performance night with that one song. But my dad didn't think it is professional to play just one song out of 14. But I just don't wanna be afraid anymore on stage when I sing with my guitar. Because I can sing on stage without being afraid, but when I sing with an instrument, I get scared. But it just feels stupid that my dad thinks that it's not professional to play just one song with an instrument. I mean, I have to conquer this fear in little steps so I can concentrate on the rest, but I know he's kinda right too. But I wanted to talk about it somewhere since I haven't done that, so yeah

Thank you for your response! Nice that you're also playing the guitar!
I have performed as a singer more often in churches, at my schools and now it's my first paid performance.
I'll surely keep practicing, but it's nice that I'm getting better now and that I can play with my dad, teach him things as well and I hope in the future I can play by myself! ^^
