well you could translate curious to to neugierig an etwas sein but it only refers to things and not to people if you know what I mean? you can't say Ich bin neugierig an ihm, thats wrong :/
So I'm not quite sure how to translate the sentence other than how I did it in the beginning

because the term is "neugierig auf etwas sein", in english it's "to be curious on"
